In an article in the “Handelsimmobilien Report” on the real estate fair Expo Real, Christine Hager, Managing Director / Head of Shopping Center Asset Management at redos, talks about the potential of shopping centres as omnichannel marketplaces. According to Hager, one requirement to exploit their potential is to improve their service and e.g. act as logistic hubs where customers can pick up goods ordered online around the clock. Retail assets are not a “falling knife”, says Christine Hager. Rather, the market is still very interesting.
