Opened in 1973, the Rhein-Ruhr Zentrum (RRZ) in Mülheim an der Ruhr will be comprehensively modernised over the coming years. By purchasing the centre together with the Karstadt Arkaden and the adjacent office tower, all of the parts of the site have been united under a single ownership structure for the first time. This is the only way to leverage the huge development and value enhancement potential that is available and completely reposition the RRZ. The comprehensive revitalisation is aimed at turning the location into the “living room of the Ruhr area” – a unique shopping and leisure destination combined with new and attractive entertainment concepts for the whole family in the heart of the densely populated Ruhr area.
