The Spanish magazine “El inmobiliario mes a mes” published a guest article by Oliver Herrmann, Managing Director of redos real estate, in its September issue 2013. In this article, Herrmann writes about political risks when investing in retail real estate. While some European countries would struggle with the euro crisis, Germany asserts itself as a stability anchor of the European currency area, Herrmann states. Investors would currently Focus mainly on residential real estate – according to Herrmann “a risk”. He describes why: Especially with regards to the general election in September 2013, regulation of the rental housing market would seeem to be very likely.
